Toroidal transformer

General
The core of a toroidal transformer is made of a single piece of iron formed to a ring. This ring is winded with a conductive material.

Construction of a toroidal transformer
The toroidal transformer with the conductive windings which are mostly winded with copper has less heat losses but the production is more expensive than the regular E/I core transformer. The toroidal transformer has a better shaped circuit which reduces the magnetic distortion field.

Wesemann has three main partners for toroidal transformers:

Make Transelectro (Denmark)
